(DALIANNEWS)–“Dalian has become IBM’s largest service executive center with the most staff in China, ” said Marcel Greutmann, general manager of IBM Global Service Executive Center, China district, March 26, 2009.

He hopes that Dalian can become one of the most significant services bases for IBM in China.

He said so during the meeting the Xia Deren, Mayor of Dalian last Thursday.

The local government is vying for providing support for such multinationals as IBM as Dalian is the best city in China in terms of software development and outsourcing, said Xia Deren.

IBM has set up plenty of service centers in China including Shanghai, Dalian, Shenzhen and Chengdu.

IBM Dalian has over 3, 000 staff members.
