(DALIANNEWS)–Sinopec Group was named Saterday the first of the list of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises 2008 with revenue exceeding 1,200 billion RMB yuan in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, August 30, 2008.

The result was issued by China Enterprises Association and China Entrepreneurs Union.

Dalian- based ten enterprises were in the list including Dashang Group who was ranked 85th with revenue of 502 billion RMB yuan, Dalian West Pacific Petrochemical, in 137th place, Dongzhan Group (234) and Shide Group (457).

Runner- up in the rankings was State Grid, followed by PetroChina Co., Ltd.

Head offices of the top 500 are mostly located in China’s ten metros such as Beijng and Shanghai.
